Hello there, I’m Amado Simmons, the founder and head coach of INDUSTRIAL GYM 101 (iG101).
In 2016, I was 60 kg. Fast on the basketball court, but constantly injured and mentally drained.
I was bullied for being too skinny. Torn meniscus. Jumper’s knee.
I didn’t need a six-pack, I needed strength, resilience, and a system that worked long-term.
Now at 82 kg, I’ve built a body that not only performs, but sustains me, physically and mentally.

What Fuels My Lifestyle
I eat 90% clean, mostly meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, and mushrooms. I avoid inflammatory foods at home and stick to simple, high-quality meals that give me energy.
But I’m not rigid.
The other 10%? That’s for living. When I’m out for dinner, I enjoy exploring new dishes. Since I don’t usually eat rice, pasta, or potatoes at home, I’ll have them out guilt-free. And yes, that includes the occasional ice cream, burger, chocolate chip cookie, or my favorite candy — Twizzlers.
I’ve studied everything from gut health to longevity, and I’ve tested every approach to understand what truly fuels me. Now I know what works and what’s sustainable.
